Charles is responsible for the GB Capacity Market (CM) which provides regular, secure payments to generators and other providers of firm capacity who win agreements in a series of annual auctions. The next auctions will take place in early 2020, subject to  State aid approval.

I lead on Aggregate Industries’ (AI) energy strategy, helping to further integrate energy management into the strategic thinking and operational practices of the business. Ensuring the political, environmental, economic, social, technological and legal considerations of energy are identified, evaluated and managed at both national and local level, whilst ensuring opportunities for innovative solutions and competitive advantage are identified and realised.

Kyle Martin

Kyle Martin has over 10 years’ experience in regulation and policy, with time spent within the carbon and energy sectors. Through these roles, he has gained unique perspective into the impacts of policy and regulation on industry participants and stakeholders across the UK and Europe. His experience includes leading Energy UK’s work on issues regarding electricity generation policy and regulation, reviewing changes to legislation and quantifying their impacts, and providing strategic advice about the latest developments and trends in the industry. At LCP, Kyle works closely with clients to ensure they are kept ahead of the latest changes in policy and understand the challenges and opportunities available within the context of an increasingly complex market.
