Steve Edwards

Steve is responsible for the development of large scale PV and the commercialisation of flexibility at SIMEC, part of the Gupta Family Group. In the UK, GFG owns and operates Steel and Aluminium manufacturing plants in Rotherham and Western Scotland and intermediate and automotive component manufacturing plants across Britain. In order to provide low carbon power to those operations SIMEC is developing 168MW of tariff-free wind generation, operates 120MW of hydro power and is converting 220MW of coal-fired power station in Wales to run on Waste to Energy. Prior to GFG, Steve was part of the management team at British Solar Renewables which delivered 550MW of large scale PV plants. He is a qualified Engineer and holds an MBA from IMD in Switzerland.
